About
I come bearing gifts. Simply put, I want to indulge you (and for you to indulge yourself!).
For all things travel and fashion related, your Traveling Fashionista is here to help. Reviews, advice, tips and tricks, money-saving techniques, you name it – I’ll provide it. In a world of information overload, honest and candid communication is key. If I like something, you will know it, if I hate it, I’ll explain why. I research, plan, and analyze, almost to a fault. But in the end, I reach an educated decision – one that I share with you! So who is the girl behind the blog?
Cruising the Mediterranean in a Smart Car
Kirsten (pronounced Kiersten) currently lives in sunny California, to be more exact, the Bay Area. Currently, she is a girl-friday of sorts. Her love of fashion and travel has brought her to share her wealth of knowledge with you. After a bunch of gentle pokes and prods (ok, maybe not SO gentle) by friends and family, she decided to begin this blog to provide a great resource into the travel and fashion industries. Traveling the world in style is what she does best. It doesn’t have to cost a lot of money, and it doesn’t mean bringing four suitcases on each trip. She has tons of tips and tricks to share, as well as great industry resources to connect you with.
With a mix of humor, fun, and brutal honesty, Kirsten will show you how to never live without a vacation in your future and amazing clothes in your closet.

I’m going to order a pair of “Damn Heels” for my daughters birthday in July – do you have a coupon promo that I could use when I order them –
thanks

Hi! I just discovered your blog and kudos on the fantastic resource you’ve created for fellow travelers! I’m honeymooning this October in Curacao and plan on going snorkeling and playing with dolphins…should I splurge for a waterproof camera? Or do I just not bother and let the experience just hang tight in our memories? I’d really like to know what you think – if it’s worth it or not. Thanks!
Thanks so much! I am so happy you are enjoying the site! As for the waterproof camera, I think you should pick up one of the waterproof single use cameras. The pictures they take are not that bad, and you get to get up close shots of what you experienced! I buy one whenever I snorkel or want to take shots in water. It has been a lifesaver and a ton of fun

I leave for Maui tomorrow. Sooo frustrated packing without my girlfriends to keep me on track. I wanted to take my Vera Bradley (orange print) gym bag as my beach tote. I can just hear my friend Diana “grandma phoned and wants her beach tote back” I might take your advice with a big purse or canvas tote.
Thanks,
CB
Good luck Catherine! Report back as to how it all went!!! I hope you have a wonderful time

I have traveled all my life and lived in many different countries…it’s in my blood. So when I stumbled across your blog today I felt (excuse the dorky statement following) like I met my “travel sister”. Then to top off my excitement over your travelers’ blog it’s all laced fashion too, my second love! A match made in heaven! This is a big deal for me, to help you better understand I’ll tell you that I don’t like blogs. I usually never bother because I find them boring. So to find your blog and find myself reading through 20 different entries then adding you to my facebook, twitter and email is a huge compliment to you. Thank you for combining the two things I love into an entertaining blog, my first blog. Can’t wait for your next entry! Just a blip about myself; I live in the San Francisco Bay Area, still travel extensively and hold a degree in fashion design with plans to design footwear in the near future.
Awwwww, Nina! You made my day! I know exactly how you feel, and my goal is to provide a place for people like us to share tips and tricks, learn a few new things, and to get the chance to network together and share our own stories! THANK you so much for sharing! I hope we can talk more

Hi! I actually was searching for wardrobe basics and stumbled upon your blog, which was a pleasant surprise! Travelling and fashion in one blog just made me thrilled! I seriously love your blog, it is really entertaining!
I would like to ask for some advice on my trip to London and Rome in July/August. Any recommendations on what I should pack? Do you happen to know about cheaper airfares from SJO-LHR? I’ve got lots of questions to ask if it isn’t much bother.
I am still excited to have found such a great blog!
Thanks for sharing!
Regards.
Hi Peggy! I would be happy to help you, and so happy that you love my blog
I’ll shoot you an email to discuss your questions further!!
