Talk about a controversial site to house a beautiful hotel! Berlin’s Soho House conjures up stories of Nazi and Communist regimes, both once being housed by this exact building. Looking at the gorgeous pictures, one would never know of the history behind this international outpost.
Over the last thirteen years, this building remained empty, but come this last Monday, the Berlin Soho House had its official grand opening (they had a “soft-opening” over the last couple weeks).
This particular Soho House is the largest of its international counterparts, with over 860,000 square feet, and eight floors. This members-only hotel-club-spa-restaurant has 40 individually designed bedrooms, and although it has a bit of a complicated and sad history, they believe that the time spent in the beautifying and renovating of this structure will provide a good time for all of its guests.
